Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

I love it!
(Thanks for having your photos enlarge when you click them, it's nice to see things closer up.)
We're starting our backyard from scratch in our new place and although I'm excited about "designing" it (read: telling landscapers what I want and having them do it) I'm impatient and wish I could just blink and have it look all pretty like yours does.
All in time...
I didn't know that my pictures did that! Now I find out, AFTER posting pictures of my face. AAAHHHH!
I love designing yards too. I love to drive by homes and think about how I would landscape it.
You're lucky to start with a blank slate. It's much harder to undo what someone else has done than it is to do it your way from the beginning. But, it is annoying to put up with dirt until you're able to tackle the job. I look forward to hearing about your landscaping project at your new house. :)
Wet dogs in the house? :shudder:
Thanks, Mary! I hadn't noticed the photos enlarged, either! :)
That folding bamboo screen behind the couch looks like the one I got at Cost Plus Imports. I put it on the front porch behind the bench, and at Halloween I hang stuff from it.
I think that's where I got my bamboo screen, too. I hate painting walls, but I also get tired of white walls, so the screens allow me to change the look of the room with little effort. It will also be very easy to restore the room to it's original look when I tire of the screens.
OOh that looks so inviting! I want to open a beer right now and plop down on one of the chairs! We need to get you a laptop so you can work outside at night and enjoy the patio!
Oops, I just realized that the time is posted below the entry and my last post was about drinking beer and it was 8:25am. Please note that I never drink before 1 pm unless of course if I happen to be at a wake (yes I have some Irish friends). OK I have to go now...where is that bottle opener...
Yeah, sure you never drink before 1 pm. Do you also want us to believe in the Easter bunny? (Just kidding.) :)
