Misadventurous Melissa

Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

Not Meant To Be A Redhead

Stupid, stupid blonde. I know what I'm going to be doing tomorrow. I'll be washing my hair, about ten times. Today I did something even more stupid than usual. I dyed my hair red. Thank goodness it's just a temporary rinse and washes out, I hope.

When it was wet, it looked great. It was a dark vibrant red that made my skin look porcelain white. Now it's a light Golden Retriever pinkish-orange that clashes with my pink coloring. It also only stuck to my bangs and the hair on top of my head. The rest of my hair is still blonde. Boy, do I look stupid. If it doesn't come out, I wonder if I can call in ugly to work.

Yes, the top looks a bit reddisch but the rest looks normal.
I went "red" a few years ago - it looked awful on me. But I left it that way a while - wanted to be a "rebel" I guess. Go figure.

Michelle, the photo didn't entirely capture the horror. Trust me, it's bad.

Karen, sometimes it's nice to have a change, even a bad one.

Dave, yes, as a matter of fact. Sarah and I want to fit in.

Dave, lately, whenever I leave a comment on your site, I get a notice of returned email. Did you change your email address?

HP, if it doesn't wash out I'll try that. Btw, my mother once dyed our white poodle blue for a party.

Sarah, it was the same stuff, but I chose a shade that is supposed to be suitable for blondes. Maybe I'll just buy a red wig.

I'm still at the same email address, although it now forwards to a different isp. As long as the comment shows up, I wouldn't worry about it. :)

Dave, You've also missed some jokes that I've forwarded to you. Some make it through, most get returned. Perhaps, that's not entirely a bad thing.
