Misadventurous Melissa

Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

The Screen Door

Murphy doesn't like to use the dog door, so he scratches on the door when he wants in or out. To be more precise, he scratches on the screen door. He's learned that if he scratches on glass, I take my time coming to the door. If he scratches on the screen, I come running. It's amazing how well trained I am.

But, I'm not fast enough, as can be seen in the picture.

Dogs. Gotta love 'em!
I let most of the spiders in my house live there too - am always glad at the insect control they practice.

I learned my tolerance for spiders from my mother for that very reason, insect control. The rule doesn't apply to Black Widows, though. They have to die, which makes me feel guilty.
