Misadventurous Melissa

Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

Poor Cold Blonde

This morning the temperature is not quite 70 degrees and windy. With the wind chill factor, it is freezing cold, especially with just my shorts, tank top and barefeet. I suffered for about an hour when I suddenly had the brilliant idea to put warmer clothes on. A minute later I was wearing fluffy pink sweats, socks and warm slippers. What a relief!

I was feeling stupid that it took so long to solve my problem until I went to get the mail. A neighbor wearing shorts, tank top and barefeet was also getting her mail. Her arms were wrapped around her and she was complaining about how cold it was. I don't know what her excuse was. She's not even blonde.

I enjoyed reading your blog.
We all have moments where we overlook the obvious solution!
I did something like that a few weeks ago. And I'm a brunette!

Sometimes, I think that denial enters into the problem. (It's the wrong time of the year for it to be cold, so it can't be cold.):)

Are they the new ultra soft fluffy new pink sweats you got a couple of weeks ago. I knew I should have bought some too. I was a brunete last night so I had the good sense to put on my warm jammies and thick cozy socks. Today I am now a redhead so does that mean I have to go change?

Ooooh, a redhead? Time for new pictures, Sarah! :)

Dave, I'll see what I can do about getting a picture, but I think the odds are that it's just a subtle auborn temporary rinse, judging from Sarah's other hair color changes.

Sarah,They are the very same sweats that you passed on and they are incredible. Who's sorry now? :)

Redheads aren't dumb, just short-tempered. You can keep your warm clothes on, just don't forget to yell at someone. :)

I don't blame you one bit! 70 is my Winter!

I wish that I could say the same, but 70 to me feels cold only because of the long, hot summer. It's going to be getting much colder than that. It might get down to 60 this winter. :)

I am sorry now just thinking about those cozy sweats. Well I guess we will have to go shopping again! I did change my clothes today (to compliment the new hair color), but I had no idea I was supposed to yell at someone today and now I'm afraid it may be too late! I will try to find someone to yell at tommorrow (maybe one of my ex's will come by:)

Back when I dyed my hair blond, I walked barefoot in the snow because I had been living in FL for awhile and forgot it was cold.

Sometimes, I think that blonde hair dye is absorbed by the skin and causes brain damage. :)

Well there must be some reason they adise you not to dye your hair when you are pregnant. Surely if it can travel all the way to the fetus it must be able to get to the little gray cells right there near the surface!

Well, that explains a lot!
