Misadventurous Melissa

Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

Saturday Night Customs

When I work my usual weekend, we have dinner delivered to celebrate Saturday. Today, I worked on the alternate Saturday, so I was exposed to different Saturday night customs. Everyone brought their own dinner, but came with bags of goodies for sharing. So, for dinner tonight, I had brownies, chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies, dried mangoes, preserved plums and garlic low-grease peanuts.

I'm like a dog. If you put stuff like that in front of me, I just keep eating until it's all gone. Now, I feel sick.

I'm paying for my indiscretion today. It's a good thing that I don't keep stuff like that around the house.
