Misadventurous Melissa

Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

I've never seen butterflies like that before. Did you take those? They look cool!

They are beautiful! I've never seen them either. Last summer my yard was full of monarchs though.

Thanks, Dave and Sarah. I've never seen butterflies like that, much less taken pictures like those. I never thought that I, the gadget hater, would ever say this, but I want a better camera. My camera has such a crappy macro lens that should I ever see a transparent butterfly, I couldn't get a decent photo.

Check out the Nikon Coolpix L1. I just got one, and so far I'm very happy with it. It can take macro shots as close as 1.5 inches away.

Thanks. I'll take a look at one. I've been looking at cameras and the choices are so overwhelming that I end up walking out of the store empty handed.
