Misadventurous Melissa

Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

Plotting for Treats

A patient who is not allowed to eat anything was given this fruit arrangement. Having no use for it, he gave it to the nurses. (This is what it looked like after day shift finished with it. They tell me it was spectacular when it arrived.)

That gave me an idea. Patients often receive goodies. If we see something that we really want, maybe we should tell the patient that they're not allowed to eat it and hope that they give it to us. It's worth a try anyway. :)

That's why I won't actually do it, but I can still dream. :)
