Misadventurous Melissa

Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

Wet Dog

This why I have slipcovers on the furniture and decorate in dirt colors.

It's handy to have a leather couch in the dog's room!

But my whole house is the dog's room, as is yours. I can't afford to buy all leather furniture and bedding, unless you want to give me some hand-me-downs. :)

Please don't give people the wrong idea. I do have a leather sofa, well Dar does, but I have no leather bedding!

I was joking about the leather bedding. Aren't your sheets actually rubber? ( Sorry, I know that your bedding is only pima high thread count 100% cotton and I'm sorry that Kelsey peed in your bed the last time I spent the night.) :)

Thank you, you are correct, the sheets are pima, it's the clothing that's leather, no rubber, it's too hot and anyway that is for the real fruit loops. Are you sure it was Kelsey that peed on the bed? I know we are all getting older, it's nothing to be embarassed about. There are many fine products out there for women our age, the depends are popular with my patients. Feel free to spend the night any time, I have protective covers on both of the beds and the new bed is divine, I put the memory foam topper on the sleep number bed and it is now quite acceptable as well. The dogs can't decide where to lounge all day so they go back and forth from bed to bed!

Oh, I wish I could be one of your dogs. Imagine what it must be like when the hardest decision that you must make is which luxuriously soft bed you will nap on.

I want to be one of my dogs! You've read this old indian saying, that when you die and go to the gates of heaven all the animals you have encountered are there and they decide if you get in or not! Actually, now that I think about it, I'd rather stay out there with the animals than go where all the people are!
