Misadventurous Melissa

Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

Chicken With Three Different Sauces

Every night, our poor patients get the same thing for dinner, chicken with three different sauces. No one is fooled by the different sauces. It's the same meal.

The chicken is uhhh...special. It has been molded into an oblong patty with dark stripes across it. The three different sauces on that flaked, formed chicken product are herb, barbecue and teriaki. They all taste the same, disgusting. And patients get it every night, with rice.

I've always suspected that it was the hospital's way of getting the patients to leave sooner. If the food is bad enough, patient's might be highly motivated to leave early.

I guess your hospital is a good place to go on a diet!

There certainly are no temptations here, unlike at your house. :)

That's the patients' reactions too.
