Misadventurous Melissa

Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

Another Reason Why My House Is Dirty

When I designed and built my pond, I didn't give enough thought to how I would clean it. Naively, I thought that pumps and filters would keep the water clean. If only that had worked. The water now resembles split pea soup.

When the water is especially bad, I'll overflow it with a hose to dilute the nasty water somewhat. That results in part of my yard turning into a muddy swamp. There is a drain, but it can't keep up. What's really bad is that the dogs run through this muddy water before coming into the house and it takes days for the mud outside to completely dry. I can't even imagine what it must be like to live in a house without a dirt floor.

What did you like better, the over-exposed shot or the green swamp water? :)

I was serious! I just love the feature. I like yards with rustic type settings. Not all layed out with fancy bricks and decorator pieces. Al natural for me!
