Misadventurous Melissa

Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

Stunning, Sunning Murphy

This is why I put up with a wet muddy dog who is bigger than I am. He's so cute that I just can't stand it.

My grandmother used to cover her sofa in plastic. :)

That is one happy boy! When is he coming over to meet his new cousin Kent? I am "temporarily" fostering him for GRCGLA, you can see his pic and read his story on their website. What a sweetie, he's been through so much and all he wants to do is snooze on the grass in the sun. They may have to pry him from my cold dead hands!

Dave, I don't do plastic. I just wash the slipcovers and hope that not too much muddy water soaked through.

Sarah, you're going to have 5 dogs. You'll fall in love and never give him up.

Yes, I do love him, and you will too. He can stay with us as long as it takes to get him up to healthy weight (he was 46# whe he was found so weak he couldn't walk anymore and he is as taller than Daisy!) and his seizures are under control. Then when they find a good home I will let him go.
There is a big white male pyrenees/golden mix that I am coveting now, but apparently there is some stupid rule (like the no 2 trips to europe rule) that applies to getting 2 new dogs at once, what a load of crap!

Michelle, I want his life too.

Thanks, Lisa.

Sarah, why did you have to tell me about the Golden-Pyrennes mix? You know I want one, but it's illegal to have more than 3 dogs. And if I got him, I would never ever give him up.

Since when does anyone in LA care about the law? Tommy is so small he only counts as about a 1/4 of a dog by our weight standards. I want him REALLY bad, but since I can't get him right now (the new dog had a grand mal last night) you better get him before someone else does. We could timeshare him:)
