Misadventurous Melissa

Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

Mystery Crash

I was driving down the freeway with my dogs in the car, when I saw a motorcycle rider start to pass in between me and another vehicle. When he was beside me, I heard a crashing sound against the window. I jumped, thinking that he had misjudged the narrow passage and side-swiped me, but instead of crashing, he just continued down the road like nothing had happened. He was gone before I could decide what to do next.

When I arrived at my destination, I checked the side of my car and it was fine. Events like this cause me to question my sanity. I heard a crash at the precise moment that the motorcycle was at its closest point to my car and yet, there was no damage. The only thing I can think of is that one of the dogs threw himself against the glass as the motorcycle went by. Either that or I really am losing my mind.

Maybe you hit a wrinkle in the space-time continuum and the crash happened--but in another dimension.

So, somewhere in this other dimension, there's a white station wagon with a scraped side. I'm glad that I'm in the dimension with the undamaged car. :)

Hw may have lost his balance and had to use to his foot on your car to regain it. Splitting lanes is dangerous, and it was too windy to be be riding last week. I know, a friend of mine died last week in a bike accident. No Melissa, you didn't know him.

Is there any way that I can get you and your friends to stop riding bikes? Even if you're careful, there are too many things that can go wrong.
