Misadventurous Melissa

Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

The Last Ice Machine Post (Hopefully)

As I arrived at work, I saw the lifeless body being wheeled out. It was strapped to a dolly and the engineers were struggling to get it in the elevator. The door closed before I could get my camera ready to take one last picture.

The ice machine is gone and an empty space on the shelf was all we had left. We didn't know if they were going to try and fix it again or give us a new one. We heard rumors that there was a new machine in the basement, but we didn't know if it was for us or if the rumors were even true. Not knowing was the worst part.

When I came to work the next day, there was a new ice machine on the shelf. It's bigger than the old one and doesn't seem to get ice jams. How nice to get ice without jamming objects up the shoot. It might also come closer to meeting our demands for ice. Somebody finally did something nice for us.

Yippee - a new ice machine at last!
Do let us know if it works better than the old one.

So far it works great. If anything goes wrong, I'll not only share it, there will be pictures. :)

Does your hospital have a water filter system? (not that I will be checking in any time soon)

It does, but I don't really trust it. Good idea to stay away.
