Misadventurous Melissa

Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

I would Really Prefer to Know

This morning, Tom Tom was feeling playful and scratched my face. There is now a red line leading from the corner of my mouth down my chin.

Half-way into my shift, a coworker said, "Oh, that's a scratch on your face. I thought it was smeared lipstick." Now, I'm wondering about that. If she thought that I had lipstick smeared down my chin, then why didn't she say something earlier? I wouldn't let her walk around with smeared lipstick. I only do that to people I don't like. Uh oh....

Just wait until she has smeared make-up. Oh wait, she doesn't wear make-up. Well, maybe something will get caught in her teeth some day, then I'll get even. :)
