Misadventurous Melissa

Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

Soaking Wet Blonde

This morning while watering the plants on my patio, I dropped the hose. The hose took off spinning, bouncing and spraying everything, including me. Not that today was exactly freezing cold, but being sprayed with frigid hose water was not my idea of fun. Looking on the bright side, shivering burns up calories. (Sorry, no picture with this post. I was wearing a T shirt without undergarments.)

That has happened to me so many times! I will have a couple of the dogs out front with me and an unauthorized (not that any are) cat or squirrel will run down the street. Well, depending on which dogs are out with me, the chase is on. Under normal circumstances they do not leave the perimeter of the yard and stay when I tell them, even if there is one right across the street. If they see it first I'm screwed! Of course this always happens when I am out there in my pajamas or some other silly inappropriate for running attire. I also had the cute purple hose that's all wound up and boy does it spin when you drop it! I got rid of that damn thing! There is also a puppy next door that regularily gets away from the kids. I hear a scream and we all bolt out the door and go running after "the little black tornado". It is a lovely sight, I'm sure my neighbors all think I am crazy...well I guess they may be right.

Anonymous, is your first name Sarah? You sure sound like Sarah. No one else could possibly be that silly, except for me, of course. :)
