Three Inches
This is what 3 inches of rain does to my yard. It's hard to tell where the pond begins and ends.

Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

It's nothing for us to get 3 inches + of rain here in our summer. Living on sand helps as the water drains away quickly. I am impressed with your photos....i thought you were on clay? It doesn't look too bad at all.
Are you expecting more rain? I thought CA was a very dry State.
This is our rainy season. The summers are dry. I am on clay, but the backyard slopes up a little, so the water all drains towards the house and forms a lake around it, especially when the drains get clogged. The water is gone now and there is mud in its place which the dogs track in the house. :(
Ugh, I am sorry about that!
I'm used to mud on the floors, the furniture and my bed. It's everyone else who is shocked by it.
