Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

Lovely. I had a knockout rose for a while, but I gave it away. Houston's heat and humidity make it tough on roses, not to mention that the soil around here is heavy clay. The knockout rose is supposed to be trouble free, but it wasn't trouble free for ME until I took it out of the ground and put it in a pot.
I love roses, though. Especially the red ones. I also love red hibiscus. Hibiscus are so much easier to grow in Houston than roses, so I think I will probably stick with them instead of roses.
Nice roses. Our flowers turned out rather lame this year.
Gary, hibiscus don't do well here, which is a shame because the flowers are so pretty and there are no thorns.
Alan, my flowers didn't do all that well this year either. I'm completely re-doing all of the beds. I sure wish that I had a ro-tiller like you.
