Misadventurous Melissa

Everyday is an adventure, or misadventure as the case may be. It is the latter that makes for the best stories, inspiring the name of my blog. I'm a nurse and an attorney (and way too silly sometimes). I am retired now. WELCOME to my blog! This is a work of fiction inspired by true events. The patients I refer to are a patchwork quilt of various patient's problems mixed together. If you think you recognize someone, you are wrong. These people do not really exist.

Fish and Dog Truce

This is Murphy and Fuji. Fuji is the orange creature on the left and Murphy is the orange creature on the right. They get along fine. The fish sometimes swim around Murphy, but he pretends not to notice.

When Murphy first discovered the fish, he chased them. One of the fish, Sam, wasn't going to put up with that, so he went on the offensive. He swam in a circle and flew out of the water and struck Murphy's chest. Murphy just stood there unsure of what to do. Sam circled and once again flew out of the water and hit Murph in the chest. That did it. Murphy got out of the water as fast as he could. For a few days he stayed away from the pond, but the alluring muddy water proved irresistible and soon he went back in. But he learned his lesson and now just pretends that the fish aren't there.
